As the number one attraction in South America and number 2 per Trip Advisor’s 2015 rankings, Machu Picchu is a must see attraction in Peru.  Going to Peru and not seeing Machu Picchu would be a gigantic loss.

Machu Picchu Weather

The best time to visit Machu Picchu is between Mary and September.  During this period there is no rain and the average temperature is about 62 F degrees during the day. The table below shows the averages for Cusco (good point of reference for Machu Picchu).  April, October and November also tend to be popular as they are months before or after the rainy season (December to March).
